Richard "Dick" Cease came to Winston & Cashatt in 1994 after retiring from a long and distinguished career as the Public Defender for Spokane County. Dick's practice focused specifically on criminal law. Respected by defendants and prosecutors alike, Dick defended clients in some of Spokane County's most famous criminal cases and created one of the finest public defender offices in Washington State.
Tim's practice emphasized litigation in the areas of general negligence claims, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, aviation, and professional negligence. In addition, Tim's practice emphasized insurance policy coverage disputes including casualty, property, and fire insurance, as well as business insurance policies. Tim was also an advocate of and had experience in the various forms of alternative dispute resolution.
A Principal with the firm, Lyn Rasmussen joined Winston & Cashatt in 1973 and retired in 2013. Prior to joining Winston & Cashatt, he worked as an engineer for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, The Boeing Company and Sylvania Electronics. While attending Gonzaga University School of Law, he was editor-in-chief of the Gonzaga Law Review. Lyn has taught construction law at the Gonzaga School of Law and has conducted numerous seminars regarding topics of interest to the construction industry.
