A Principal with the firm, Lyn Rasmussen joined Winston & Cashatt in 1973 and retired in 2013. Prior to joining Winston & Cashatt, he worked as an engineer for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, The Boeing Company and Sylvania Electronics. While attending Gonzaga University School of Law, he was editor-in-chief of the Gonzaga Law Review. Lyn has taught construction law at the Gonzaga School of Law and has conducted numerous seminars regarding topics of interest to the construction industry.

Lyn's practice focused on construction law. He represented clients in all phases of the construction industry. In respect to owners, he represented power companies, sewer districts, irrigation districts, public utility districts, and city ports. In addition to owners, he represented general contractors on all types of projects, both public and private. In addition, he represented subcontractors and suppliers at all levels, surety companies, engineers, architects, lending institutions in respect to construction financing, and insurance companies. His clients were primarily local in nature but he also represented several national and international companies.
