Robert P. Beschel

While Bob grew up in the San Franciso Bay area, after graduating from Stanford University in 1953, he decided to move to Spokane. After four years of night school he received his Law Degree from Gonzaga University in 1960. During that time, he was hired as a deputy county clerk for one of the Spokane County’s Superior Court judges and had the opportunity to view Spokane’s trial attorneys in action.
He was among the group of attorneys that formed the law firm of Winston & Cashatt in 1971 where he practiced in the fields of real property, estate, corporate, and immigration law for more than 40 years.
During those years as a Member of the Washington State Bar Association he received an Award of Merit for drafting, presenting to, and, ultimately obtaining legislature approval of, legislation that improved the administration of estates. He was subsequently appointed by the Bar Association as one of its representatives to the Washington Law Revision Commission which was established to review, update or repeal existing statutes that were inconsistent or no longer relevant.
